The Little Rann of Kutch is an unique place on earth with an unending possibility of exploration, numerous sites for unbelievable sights and unforgettable experiences. It is the only haven on earth for the endemic Asiatic Wild Ass. The elegant blackbuck (Indian antelope), nilgai or blue bull (India’s largest antelope) and the graceful chinkara (Indian gazelle) are other mammals seen here. The main carnivores of the Little Rann of Kutch are the endangered Indian wolf, desert fox, Indian fox, jackals, desert and jungle cats, and a few hyenas. The Little Rann of Kutch is a birdwatchers paradise and has been declared a Ramsar Site. During the safaris in the Rann one can expect to see large flocks of larks, and other dryland birds like Sandgrouse, Coursers, Plovers, Chats, Warblers, Babblers, Shrikes. Among the many winter visitors are the Houbara bustard and spotted sandgrouse. On our way back, we will also be visiting Thol Bird Sanctuary. But The Sanctuary Is Home To Far More Than Just The Wild Ass. Among The Other Species Of Mammals Are The Chinkaras, Desert Foxs , Jackals, Blue Bulls.
