Sikkim has more than 550 species of birds, some of which have been declared endangered Sikkim is a state in northeast India, bordered by Bhutan, Tibet and Nepal. Part of the Himalayas, the area has a dramatic landscape that includes India’s highest mountain, 8,586m Kangchenjunga. Sikkim is the least populous and second smallest among the Indian states.Sikkim is also home to glaciers, alpine meadows and thousands of varieties of wildflowers.The forested regions of the state exhibit a diverse range of fauna and flora. Owing to its altitudinal gradation, the state has a wide variety of plants, from tropical species to temperate, alpine and tundra ones, and is perhaps one of the few regions to exhibit such a diversity within such a small area. Nearly 81 per cent of the area of Sikkim comes under the administration of its forest department. Sikkim is home to around 5,000 species of flowering plants, 515 rare orchids, 60 primula species, 36 rhododendron species, 11 oak varieties, 23 bamboo varieties, 16 conifer species, 362 types of ferns and ferns allies, 8 tree ferns, and over 424 medicinal plants.     Day 7 :
    – Early morning wake up&Birding..Afterbreakfast depart for Gangtok City Sightseeing. In this tour we will visit Hanuman Tok. This is isa Hindu temple complex which is located in the upper reaches of Gangtok. According to the local legends, when Hanuman was flying with the “Sanjeevani”( mythological life saving herb) mountain to save Rama's brother Lakshmana he rested in the spot for some time where his temple now lies. The mandir is actually managed by The Indian Army.Then we will visit famous temple on the hill “ Ganeshmatha”. Lunch on the way. Visit to Saramsa Garden is a public garden approximately 14 km east of Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, India.The garden has served a variety of purposes. Initially dedicated to growing fruit for the local colonial officers, it later became known for cultivating the medicinal plant ipecacuanha. For this reason the garden is also known as Ipecac Garden.     Day 8 :
    After breakfast visit Tsomgo Lake. A small Shiva temple, several plants & beautiful flowers can be seen.Lake is surrounded by lush green landscape.On way back we will visit Himalayan Zoological Park which is certainly a place for wildlife lovers in Sikkim. This Park sprawls in an area of 205 hectares in the mountainous terrain. The Park houses a variety of fauna species found in the Himalayas. Some of them are Himalayan Monal Pheasant, Himalayan Red Panda, Snow Leopard Cat, Goral, Himalayan Palm Civet, Himalayan Black Bear and Crimson-Horned Pheasant. Dinner, Luggage Pack up & Stay
